Must I register me to use « Imaginia Demo »?
You can navigate the site freely. Nevertheless, to be able to:
    * Create albums
    * Upload photos
    * Request copies
    * Build and purchase photo gifts
    * Build and purchase photo books
    * Make purchases
 
you need to be registered.
 
How is the registration process?
Very easy. You can register yourself from home page filling the data in "I want my account", or when « Imaginia Demo » ask it to you while you do the wish task. It's important that the email which you use for registration be real and you can access it, because when you make orders « Imaginia Demo » will send a confirmation mail to you, and you will must respond it to process the orders. Please, also give us a phone for contact you. Before registration, please read our privacy policy and terms of use.
 
What's happens if I don't remember my password?
Pressing "I forgot my password" below the fields where you enter your login data, « Imaginia Demo » will ask you to enter your email used for login and will send you to it the the new password. Notice that this process is automatic and without human intervention, so you can do it only in this way.
 
What can I do if I need help?
If you do not find the solution in these questions, can do a query to an operator clicking in “Contact” and filling the data of the form.
 
 
Questions about the use of « Imaginia Demo »
 
I already registered myself. And now?
First, you must save your login data in a safe place, because these will be necesary every time you want operate with us. Later, if you aren´t logged, you must enter your email and password used during the registration process, and press the "Go" button. Since here you can:
    * Create albums
    * Upload photos
    * Request copies
    * Build and purchase photo gift
    * Build and purchase photo books
    * Make purchases
 
How do I create an album?
There are two possibilities:
    * Pressing the button "Create album" in your Account Summary screen;
    * Clicking the menu "My albums" in the menubar
 
You have to complete several data in the lateral panel of "My albums":
    a) album name
    b) event date (clicking over the calendar, you choose the date)
    c) if you want to create a private album, you must add a password (only you and your guests can see it)
       or a public album (anybody can see your photos)
    d) theme (all photos of the album belong to the same category or theme)
    e) watermark, a phrase overprinted on your photos exposed on the site (not applicable for the original photos
       used to print or make gifts). If you don't want the watermark, just leave this space blank.
 
Later, you must press the button "Create album" and can to begin to upload your photos (button "Upload photos").
 
What are the diferences between "standard upload", "enlargement upload" and "quick upload"?
Standard upload transfers the photos one at a time, in blocks of 12 photos, without compression or rotation. Quick upload tranfers an unlimited quantity of photos with rotation and description before upload, but in compressed format for up to 15x21 cm (6"x8.5") print size. Enlargement upload combines features of both methods: tranfers an unlimited quantity of photos with rotation and description before upload, in orignal format and without compression.

We recommend to use quick upload. In Internet Explorer, you have to install a software component in your PC. In other Internet browser, quick upload needs Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or later.
 
When finishing the uploading process, you will see all your photos on screen (page "My albums > My photos"). With the chosen photos, from lateral panel or shortcuts below the photos, you can:
 
    * Order printed copies (below you have reference prices)
    * Create and order photo gifts
    * Full album mode (slideshow)
    * Send them by mail
    * Modify their data (name and description)
    * Delete them from the album
    * Move them to another album (if you have another one)
    * Enlarge them (zoom) and comment them
 
 
How do I open an already created album?
After entering your login data, you will see the Account Summary screen. In this screen you have access to the three most recent created albums. Clicking on the button "View albums" or the menu "My albums", system shows you all your albums, where you can:
 
    * Create a new album
    * Open an album, in other words, to view its photos
    * Upload more photos to an album
    * Comment an album
    * Invite your friends to see your album
    * Modify the album data (name, theme, event date, public/private, description)
    * Delete one or several albums
    * Create photo gifts, using the photos of an album
 
 
For open an already created album, click on the cover photo, the folder icon or the command "Open album" (lateral panel).
 
Which is the function of the "print photos" menu?
The goal of this menu is to buy prints quickly. There are three ways to do it:
 
    * With uploaded photos directly from your computer (without create any album)
    * Creating an album for the photos
    * Getting the photos from any album (yours or by invitation of another user)
 
After you choose and send your photos, using one of the three upload methods, you can select the quantity, size and paper for the copies (by default, system set 10x15 cm (4"x6") copies and glossy paper). May be you have other photos or products in the cart. Don' t worry, these photos are added to your pending order.
 
If you want, you can delete one, several or all items from the cart. Keep in mind that if you delete photos uploaded with "Print photos" menu (no album) and later you decide to buy copies with them, you must upload them again.
 
Can I order copies in different formats from the same photo?
Yes. When you are in the cart screen, click on the plus sign (+) on the right of the photo that you want order in other format. System duplies the photo. Now, you must choose size, quantity and paper.
 
How do I buy a photo gift?
There are two ways to do this:
 
    * Choosing first the kind of gift, and later the album and the photos
    * Choosing first the album and the photos, and later the kind of gift
 
Según la forma elegida, será por donde debas partir. Si quieres primero determinar qué tipo de regalo hacer, debes presionar en el menú "Regalos con foto" y aparecerá la pantalla donde elegirás el tipo de regalo a pedir. Una vez que elijas el tipo de regalo, irás a la pantalla del constructor de regalos (demora unos segundos). En este caso, el constructor usará como modelo el tipo de regalo que elegiste y como fuente de fotos, el primer álbum disponible y su primera foto.
 
Si quieres primero determinar el álbum y las fotos con las que realizar el diseño, debes ir al menú "Mis álbumes" y hacer clic en la portada del álbum elegido. Una vez en él puedes elegir la/s fotos con las que construir el regalo y presionar "Crear regalo con foto" o el icono de regalo debajo de la foto. La pantalla que aparecerá te permitirá elegir el tipo de regalo y te llevará al constructor de regalos. En este caso, el constructor usará como modelo el tipo de regalo que elegiste en el paso anterior y como fuente de fotos, el álbum que determinaste al comienzo. Si dentro del álbum elegiste alguna foto, el constructor usará esa/s fotos como base del diseño. Si no habias elegido ninguna, tomará las primeras disponibles del álbum.
 
 
En cualesquiera de los casos, desde la página del constructor de regalos puedes cambiar tanto las fotos o álbumes desde donde tomarlas y el modelo de regalo (para cada regalo tienes diversos modelos en donde varían la cantidad de fotos y el tipo de borde de cada una de ellas). En cambio, si deseas elegir otro regalo, debes presionar el menú "Regalos con foto" y volver a elegirlo.
 
El manejo del constructor de regalos es muy intuitivo y se basa en el uso del ratón. Una vez que llegas a él, encontrarás en la parte superior el selector de álbumes y fotos, en el panel lateral los modelos para el tipo de regalo elegido, en la inferior el editor de texto y ajuste de imágenes y en el centro, el área de trabajo. Según el tipo de regalo elegido (y su modelo), el área de trabajo asume la forma del regalo que ayuda a diseñar, con el espacio necesario para cargar las fotos.
 
Para cambiar las fotos en el área de trabajo, primero debes hacer clic sobre la foto que deseas cambiar. La foto elegida quedará rodeada por una línea de puntos. Luego ve al álbum y haz clic en la foto que desees usar para tu diseño. Verás que se acomoda en el lugar rodeado por la línea de puntos. Si el modelo del tipo de regalo tiene más de una foto, repite el proceso para el resto de las fotos.
 
Puede ocurrir que al poner una foto en el área marcada con línea de puntos, ésta no la cubra totalmente, o que la parte de la imagen que queda visible no es exactamente la que se quiere mostrar en el diseño. No hay problema: si la foto no está rodeada por la línea de puntos, haz un clic sobre ella para seleccionarla. Luego párate con el ratón sobre la foto y arrástrala a la posición deseada. También puedes usar la herramienta "Zoom más" (lupa más) para agrandar el tamaño de la imagen, o "Zoom menos" (lupa menos) para achicarla. Otra posibilidad es hacer que la foto tenga o no borde. Para ello, debes usar las herramientas "Ajuste con borde" y "Ajuste sin borde". Usando el selector "Fondo" puedes darle un color al fondo de la foto. El indicador "calidad" te indica en una escala de rojo (mal) pasando por amarillo (regular) a verde (bien) cómo saldrá la imagen impresa. Te recomendamos usar fotos de la mejor resolución posible para que la calidad de la impresión del regalo que pidas sea buena.
 
 
También puedes agregar un texto al área de trabajo. Si tienes una foto en el área de trabajo, el texto se verá sobre ella. Si no tienes ninguna foto, el texto se verá sobre la superficie del producto que estás diseñando. Para agregar un texto, debes seleccionar primero el área donde vas a escribirlo (área marcada con línea de puntos). Luego escribe dentro del cuadro "Texto". Puedes ajustar el tipo de letra, su tamaño, su color y el de su fondo, con los selectores del editor de texto.
 
A medida que escribes o modificas sus parámetros irás viendo en el área de trabajo los cambios. Finalmente, párate sobre el texto y arrástralo con el ratón para ubicarlo donde quieras. Para borrar el texto, simplemente bórralo del cuadro "Texto".
 
 
Una vez que el diseño sea de tu agrado, presiona el botón "Siguiente" para ver la vista previa de cómo quedará el producto. Si estás de acuerdo, presiona "Comprar" para cargar tu regalo en el carrito de compras.
 
How do I design a photo book?
 
How do I use the shop?
The Shop is the on line catalog of products available for sale. When clicking the "Shop" menu, a screen is displayed with a list of categories of available products on the lateral panel, and some promotional message on the central area.
 
Don't care if you are logged on or not, because if you aren´t a registered user, « Imaginia Demo » will present you the registration window when necessary, during the buy process.
 
Haz clic en la categoría donde se encuentra el producto por el que deseas averiguar. Esto te mostrará la lista de productos disponibles para esa categoría. Cada fila de la lista muestra marca, modelo, precio y detalles para cada producto del catálogo. Si presionas en "Más" verás una ventana con las especificaciones técnicas y varias imágenes del producto. Al lado de cada producto, tienes un selector para marcarlo. Así, cuando presiones el botón "Comprar", cargarás al carrito todos los productos elegidos.
 
 
Questions about purchases and orders
 
How is the purchase process?
Very easy. Primero eliges los productos que deseas comprar (copias, regalos, fotolibros y/o productos del shop). Luego, en la ventana del carrito, indicas la cantidad de unidades de producto. Cuando tienes todos los productos que quieres comprar, presionas el botón "Siguiente" y pasas a la pantalla de confirmación de datos. Esta información permtirá facturarte y entregarte el pedido. Presionando el botón "Siguiente", llegas a la pantalla de datos de entrega, donde nos dices cómo prefieres que te entreguemos el pedido (a tu domicilio o en otro lugar que nos indiques si la tienda tiene delivery o en la tienda). Por último queda por especificar la forma de pago y confirmar la operación. Por seguridad, el sistema te enviará un mail a la cuenta con la que te conectas para que confirmes el pedido (A veces la primera vez que realices una compra puede que te llamen telefónicamente para chequear tus datos de registro). Es importante que sigas las instrucciones de este mail y apruebes tu pedido, para que la operación se efectue.
 
What can be done in the window of the cart?
Each time you click on "Order", the product is loaded in the cart. In the cart window, you can:
 
    * See the price per unit of each product
    * Modify the number of units of each product
    * Charge the promotion code (if is the case)
    * See total, subtotal and discount (if any) of the purchase in process
    * Change some parameters of the chosen product (only printings)
    * Order the same photo in other format
    * Delete the product from the list
 
How do I modify the quantity of units of a product?
To change the quantity of a product, you must see the column "Quantity" and edit the numeric value or click on the upper (to increase) or lower (to reduce) triangles. When you change the quantity, the unitary price, subtotal and total will be updated. If you note a jump in the change of prices, this is because the business is applying discounts per quantity.
 
How do I delete a product from the cart?
To delete a product from the cart, you have to click on the "X" sign in its right. If you want to delete several products, you delete it one by one, or mark them and then delete them in one operation. For this purpose, click on the check box in the right of the product that you want delete (last column). To empty the cart, click on the check box in the table header. Finally, click on the "X" sign in the table header to delete all chosen products.
 
What's happens if my connection is cut off (energy cut off, Internet interruption, etc) while I am in the cart?
Nothing. All that is loaded in the cart stay until you delete it or the purchase is finished. When connecting again, you will see in the upper right corner of the screen, the cart icon with two numbers: item quantity and the order subtotal.
 
Can I cancel a purchase?
Yes, but only the orders not confirmed. When you confirm the purchase, system delete the chosen products from the cart and send you a mail to you approve of the operation. If the operation isn´t confirmed, you have access to the products list in the screen of the cart. Then, you can delete the cart. If you have confirmed the purchase, don't respond the confirmation mail and contact business personnel for cancel the operation.
 
Is there is a minimum quantity when I order copies?
No. However, keep in mind the incidence of the shipment cost in the final price.
 
How do I receive my orders?
In the business: you retire it personally
Delivery: we delivery it in your home (consult cost of this service)
 
How can I pay my orders?
In the business: cash or credit card
Delivery: cash
 
Can I know the status of my orders?
Yes. Yuo can know the status of your orders with the command "My orders" in the menu "My account" (only registered users). When your order will be ready, you will receive a note by mail.

What is the format and resolution that must have my images?
File format: JPG (.jpg extension), JPG (.gif extension) or PNG (.png extension) formats
Resolution: the best resolution depends of the copy size that you want to get. The following table shows the resolution - size relationship, for best results:

How many "megapixels" must have the camera to get high quality copies?
For copy formats below 20x30 cm (8"x12", usual in film cameras), is enough a 3 MP resolution. However, the lens and internal components of the camera make the difference in terms of quality for a given resolution. You can note this, comparing several camera models, specially against the professionals.
 
Modify « Imaginia Demo » the quality and size of my images?
Our site has three ways to upload photos: standard method, enlargement method and quick method. The two first methods upload the photos one by one, with original quality and size. The quick method uploads three photos per time, but in compressed format and limited quality up to 15x21 cm (6"x8.5") printing format.
 
Upon type of paper and process prints « Imaginia Demo » my photos?
« Imaginia Demo » process in their own digital photo lab, printing copies on photographic paper, i.e. same kind of paper used in film process.
 
Can I request that my copies have white edge?
Yes, in the cart, when the printing format is chosen, you can indicate if images will have or not a white edge.
 
By how many time « Imaginia Demo » keep my images in his server? Are safe there?
The images are stored in the server by days (system remember you when time is going to expire). Data in the server are inaccessible, except for personnel of « Imaginia Demo » that process them.
